NASA : Mobile Plan Execution Tool

For our master’s capstone project, the HCI Group at NASA Ames Research Center has tasked my team to explore human-space mission planning and design a tool supporting the planning and execution of human-space missions.

As a starting point for our ethnographic research, we investigated work domains with planning strategies that are analogous to human-space missions. We also spent some time performing in-context user research at the Johnson Space Center in Houston Texas.

For the summer, we are working full time on base at NASA using our research to inform the design of a mobile device for the execution of procedures on planetary exploration missions.
